Beginner’s Knitting
Saturday, March 22, 4pm-6pm
This is an in-person class! Please only sign up if you are local to the Pikes Peak Region. This class is held at Who Gives a SCRAP located at 810 Arcturus Street, Colorado Springs CO 80905.
 
Class description: Learn the very basics of knitting to see if its the right hobby for you! You will learn about the materials needed to start knitting, how to slipknot, chain and single crochet. We don't finish a project so theres no pressure!
 
Materials included: cotton yarn and  size US 7 knitting needles  
 
Ages: Ages 10-15 (parent recommended), 16+ (no parent needed)
 
Location: Meet us in the “Who Gives a SCRAP” Classroom. Turn left when you enter the front door and head to the back of the Sales Floor.
 
Instructor: Melissa (owner and artist behind Andromeda Sock Yarn) is a fiber artist with 10 years of knitting and 17 years of crocheting under her belt. She has a 13 year old, 2 cats, 8 salamanders and a husband at home.
